The Port of Cadiz presents the essence of Andalusia in Seattle

The commercial embassy moved this week to the United States to boost cruise traffic in the Bay of Cadiz invited yesterday in Seattle the main executives and operators of the sector to discover in Cadiz the essence of Andalusia. The presentation was held at Seattle’s Harvest Vine and included a wide representation of executives from shipping companies, tour operators, tourism companies and local media, who echoed the possibilities of Cadiz to become a cruise Home Port. At the reception, the members of the trade mission were able to network with American companies, completing the agenda of contacts developed in the morning in which they held meetings with the shipping companies Windstar, Holland America and Paul Gauguin Cruises. As it is known, the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz is leading this mission, organised by Extenda and in which the Provincial Tourist Board of Cadiz, the Association of Merchants Cadiz Shopping Centre, the Association of Tourist Companies of Cadiz (AETC), Cadiship, Torre Tavira, Martinete del Guadalquivir, Torrestrella, Cadiz Guide JGR, Novojet Vela and Hotel Cadiz Plaza are also participating.
In the working meetings held, the head of the Commercial Department of the Port Authority, Kate Bonner, gave a general presentation of the port, highlighting the main strengths and technical conditions, as well as the possibilities of the destination, in which the representative of the Provincial Council of Cadiz and the other participating companies abounded. Today, Tuesday, the delegation will travel to Los Angeles, where they will repeat meetings and presentation for Thursday travel to Miami. The work agenda, organized by Extenda through the Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) for the province of Cadiz, will allow them to hold meetings with the top responsible for itineraries, excursions, operations and development of the world’s most important shipping companies based in the United States.
